I have several Dlink 2700 AP access points running the default firmware (v2.00). I have been previously advised that I can obtain firmware that makes the device operate at full power, thereby providing better coverage. I have been warned that this will reduce it's life, and that the current firmware locks it down so that it operates at "recommended" power output that does not affect its life greatly. I would like to try out the "cracked" firmware on one of the devices and see it I will notice change in signal output power. Where can I get such a firmware? or resources to crunk up the device at full throttle? Thanks -- J. N. Kimani
