VACANCY

We are one of the world’s leading telecommunication equipment manufacturers and supplier with offices around the globe. We are seeking to recruit high caliber and result oriented individual to fill the following vacant position:

Project Manager -1 Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Execute project plan within time and budget constraints.

·         Meet quality requirements and be the high level interface to the customers work.

·         Plan full TK rollout through handover.

·         Compile regular project, quality progress and other reports as required internally and externally.

·         Manage sub-contractors during project rollout. Manage OSP maintenance teams.

·         Plan and manage human resource requirements. Manage finances of project, including project cost and customer invoicing.

·         Work with Account Manager and Marketing Manager to develop strategies to be able to identify sales opportunities during project rollout.

·         Provide training and mentorship to junior project staff.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Preferably have a technical or managerial qualification. Should have completed some high level project management courses. PMP is preferable. An internationally recognized PM qualification is desirable.

·         5+ years of Wireless TE, ISP and OSP project management. At least 3 years experience as OSP TK PM (tower erection, roof top sites, Greenfield sites etc). Must know work procedures for site acquisition. Actual site acquisition and lease negotiation experience preferred.

·         It is preferable for the candidate to have wireless site swap experience.

·         Must have excellent budget control & management skills.

·         Must be prepared to travel for long periods away from base.

·         Must have strong managerial and negotiation skills. Must be able to work under high pressure and be willing to work long hours when required.

Senior Enterprise Engineer -1 Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide technical support, handle problem analysis and provide other required service to Huawei agents and other valued service partner in the region.

·         Provide support and guidance to Huawei Enterprise service engineers which relate to technical enquiry, issue analysis, technical solution and document.

·         Provide and audit network design and optimization solution for Huawei Enterprise projects in the region. Be involved in the designing and implementation of signification projects.

·          Conduct on site or centralized training for Huawei service partner in the region.

·          Provide support to Huawei Enterprise’s sales team which includes solution demonstration, configuration guide, presale testing, and service presentation.

REQUIREMENTS

·         5 years experience within SI (System Integration) environment and Network exposure - In terms of basic Security or Basic Networking. CCNA/CCNP /CCIE qualification or equivalent and above preferred.

·          Prefer the candidate with 1 year or above of Transmission equipment, Broadband Access equipment, IPPBX, Video conference, Telepresense or server experience preferred.

·         Knowledge required: Router, Firewall and Switches concept. Be familiar with commands on Huawei/Cisco/Juniper devices.

·         Good Routing & switching, and Network appliances knowledge (e.g. DNS, DHCP, NTP) will be an added advantage.

·         Good communication and customer service skills and the ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment. Must be willing to travel.

Transmission Engineer - 1 Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Implement new SDH, DWDM and microwave networks

·         Routine maintenance of transmission network equipment

·         Maintenance support of data networks and that of optic fiber networks (test for degradation and breaks)

·         Provide high level technical support on transmission equipment and do preventative maintenance.

·         Be on standby 24*7 for emergency maintenance

·         Compile regular network performance and other reports as required internally and by the customers.

·         Customer relationship management.

·         Assist product sales and marketing where required.

·         Provide training to internal staff and customers where necessary.

·         Must be willing to travel.

·         Position might include working at night.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Should have at least a S4 diploma in Electronic engineering, but BSC Eng/BTECH Eng. are preferable.

·         At least 3 years experience in building and maintenance of transmission equipment.

·          Must have expert knowledge of SDH, DWDM fiber and microwave transmission networks

·         Must have expert knowledge of transmission frame structures and transmission network troubleshooting techniques.

·          Must know how to operate transmission and fiber test equipment

·         Solid knowledge of IP and ATM is preferable. Basic UNIX experience is preferable.

Unified Communication Engineer-1 Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide technical support, handle problem analysis and provide other required service to Huawei agents and other valued service partner in the region.

·         Recognize problems that need to be escalated to HQ and keep track of the whole process flow.

·         Provide support and guidance that relate to technical enquiry, issue analysis, technical solution and document to Huawei Enterprise service engineers.

·         Assist and audit network design and solution for Huawei Enterprise service engineers in the region.

·         Involve in the design and implementation of signification project.

·         Conduct on site or centralized training for Huawei service partner in the region.

·         Provide support to Huawei Enterprise’s sales team which includes solution demonstration, configuration guide, presale testing, and service presentation.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Minimum 3 years working experience within telecom industry or SI (System Integration) environment.

·         Have working experience on Servers and prefer having technique certification or training from ORACLE, IBM, INFORMIX, and RED HAT.

·         Have good knowledge and experience on Server, and be familiar with Linux/Solaris/Unix OS and operation.

·         Good practice and experience on Storage, can understand RAID technique and EMC/VERITAS software well.

·         Have IP network knowledge. CCNA/HCDA, CCNP/HCDP qualification or equivalent and above is preferred.

·         Good communication and customer service skills and the ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

·         Can travel in Eastern and Southern Africa region for technique support.

IT Engineer -1 Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for Enterprise IT product hardware installation, software commissioning and integration.

·         Management of the design, deployment and maintenance of cloud computing infrastructure solutions.

·         Discuss Enterprise IT product technical proposal with customer or partner.

REQUIREMENTS

·         Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experiences a strong plus.

·         Good communications skills with customer, team cooperation consciousness and organized ability.

The following will be an added advantage;

·         Windows XP or Windows 7 administration experience.

·         XEN, VMWare or Linux administrations.

·         Knowledge in X86 architecture computer.

·         Certification in any of the technologies listed above is considered as advantage.

·         Experience in an IT technical support position in a large client/server environment.
