Just an update on this.

The bug was resolved by a software update Tecno released this past weekend.

The update also addressed a stupid issue I had with accessing my custom ringtones from \Media\ folder.

Nokia uses Carl Zeiss optic lenses on their cameras. From my observation they have superior colour balancing and light filtering and produce far more better pictures. So I bet the Lumia 920 8MP has superior photos no lie. I do not know the type of lenses Tecno uses on its devices. i have a Nokia Asha 302 and the photos that come out have better quality than some 5MP devices my friends have. so that explains the camera bit. hope that helps
