Akamba bus shut down two years ago. I haven't seen Scandinavian bus too for ages. You better try Kampala Coach, Quees Coach, or Modern Bus services. For accommodation, try out transit hotels around Wandegeya-Makerere University main campus and don't forget to check out Kabalagala at night for a great night life.
