#Google is thinking of taking Operating systems to the next level "ON THE WEB". Your computer will no longer load your Operating system.

Google Chrome OS -
a Linux-based operating system designed by Google to work exclusively with web applications.

Is this the future of computing? Should programmers be studying and building apps in anticipation for this next technological shift or will users still favor Operating systems that are resident in their computers? or is this another one of Google's failed projects?

My take is: I love my OS however slow or fast it is and I don't ever want to be dependent on the internet to work on my computer in any case most of my work -> coding is offline, I only use my browser to network and research. So I will politely say no to the Google Chrome Os in favour of Ubuntu, OSX and Windows (in that order)
