Hi People, Problem with mail server running, Postfix version 2.4.5 Redhat Linux Fedora 8 Amavis Host name : mail.organization.net server hosted by client MX:mail.isp.com Scenario organization.net hosted by godaddy.com organization.net expired and after 2days its renewed again. Since then server cannot send nor receive mail. Service provider says its an issue with the server settings, but nothing has changed in the server. issue 2: Organization had a public ip A it was blacklisted, changed to B which has been in use all this time. when the server is set to B it cannot ping outside (out of local LAN). and it cannot be accessed. if u send mail u get the error "Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name= smtp.isp.com type=MX: Host not found, try again" if i set it to use A it delivers mail but cant Receive, it can ping outside and can also be accessed.
