Suppose the company charged 10% commission, thats $200 per month per user, enough to get rid of the google ads, assuming the presence of google ads means the owner of the site wants a little extra income, which, by extrapolation, means that the main income stream might not be that good.

But then again, maybe I am just paranoid.
