Things I've always taken for granted... You can't ssh from cmd? Jeez, I've been away from windows that long? Sent from my iPhone On Jul 3, 2013, at 4:56 PM, Adam Nelson <adam@varud.com> wrote:
If you're running Linux you don't need an emulator, the terminal is native. I use iTerm2 for Mac although the native Mac terminal is also very good. The shell I use is zsh but mostly just for kicks - there's no amazing advantage over bash.
If I didn't have a Mac I would run Ubuntu 13.04 desktop and if necessary, run Windows 8 inside of VirtualBox. For terminal stuff I wouldn't even go into the Window VM - that would just be for using Microsoft Office and things like that (again, only if necessary).

@Adam, et al, do you have a good terminal emulator for linux?
I had to revert to Zoc (my favourite) and the likes of teraterm, of course via Wine to get my work done.
I am yet to find a good native linux client. Key features: - Key Bindings (backspace, function keys, etc) - Session specific customisations
Unfortunately this MobaXterm has refused to run via wine

For those who love terminals like I do, I find this one great!

I am sure you'll love it.
Also, from the terminal, type `busybox --help` and see the host of Unix cmds available.
I just discovered this 3 days ago and loving it.
