Well, Wvdial uses Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0

It would only use /dev/ttyUSB0 if the modem is mapped as  ttyUSB0 in the /dev list. it could also be ttyUSB1. ttyS0, *ACM0  but the device itself should be on your dev list, thats the reason for the conf file,

Av already gottten rid of Centos, Back to debian tough i'd av prefered centos by far only if I didnt have to spend 8hrs on some 50.udev.rules and still come out twice as mad....
