I agree with Wes.I believe most developers would jump at an opportunity like that, but have time constraints.In such a case, I believe its prudent not to participate in a project than to participate in one, promising heaven and not delivering in time.
Some of us are in the medical/medical research sector and would be a valuable resource but can't participate now, therefore I would encourage the team to share the issues that they have as Wes has said.More skunks would then help in this.
