Well the distance I am covering is 50m though I think it can go further. The distance between the two structures I was trying to create the wifi zone is about 45-50m

If it's not going through walls, I think 50m should be doable by most modern WAPs.  If you want to be serious though, you probably want 'beam forming' technology that improves point to point connections.  The new Airport Extreme with 802.11ac handles this:
