On checking the MX configuration of the problematic senders, I get the below MX records:

This shows that the SMTP servers for Google have both IPV4 and IPV6.
Hence the erratic delivery.. some fail, some deliver.

Anyone here from Google to comment on the Socket error.

Anyone to confirm that our ISPs are IPV6 ready and can do IPV6 Translation?
