Five years ago, a Kenyan fresh from campus came up with a solution(currently in use) for the mobile industry , he went for a demo in one of the mobile companies, they liked the solution and the whole idea, at the end of the Demo, the CEO asked the guy "who is the big man behind this?"
the guy goes like "me and my friend"
One of the managers later on explained to them, that for anything to sell, they had to have someone behind it, not just anyone, has to be some top political figure atleast an MP,Minister, ex MP, Businessman-tycoon for that matter, top Government official etc.
So my friend had to find someone, found an ex-MP's son and partnered with him making use of the ex-MP's name ofcourse.
my advice, as someone suggested, patent it, as for exclusive distribution rights you might have to convince the mother company about that, have a company in place with good cash.
Alternatively, find some tycoon (like Kirubi) sell the idea to him but all in all you will not make as much as you are anticipating, someone will cut you off at one point.
all the best.

The key thing would be to secure exclusive rights for distribution of the product in Kenya, however in order to do so you'd have to show the ability and resources for distribution. It's a quintessential chicken and egg problem.
