Well as much as that may have some truth, why was the former orange MD fired? I dont think its coz safaricom was receiving favours. It was bad business strategy(killing CDMA when its already up and running and picking up like a hot cake) and hiring staff who dont understand the business in this environment. Just to extrapolate further your Assumption.
The network equipment they buy is paid for in the same ratio by the shareholders :)
