Someone mentioned the Toyota Hilux, i second, that is a true off-road car.

Once went past Maua toward Kiina during the rainy season in a Toyota Hilux Old model [with  2 axles and Leaf springs]. Took down that muddy black cotton soil terrain like a hot knife through butter. A Toyota engineer of then would have been proud.

Only 3 cars rule that territory Landrover 110, Toyota LandCruiser [Not VX] and Toyota Hilux. There rest of the cars are called 'taxis' by the locals.
