Just asking: If i generate excess power in my home, i've been wondering if i can feed it back to the grid in the assumption that my meter would go backwards or get more units - for prepaid. If that can be the case, there would be no need to buy expensive battery banks for non critical home elec use.

Am asking this because the other day a pal of mine and I decided to top up our units then having paid the same amount he ended getting 3 times more units than I did.(How now you ask?)
