When I tried the ZTE on Ubuntu 10.10 it was picked by the network manager and when I added the connection Orange was listed as the provider.
I kind find it and somehow manage to connect - not as easy as it is with the Huawei - but I am in town, somewhere near Bruce Hse and the latencies I get! I am back to my Huawei, although I'd have loved to use the cheaper option, not the better options:-)
