With windows 7 provided you do a compatibility online test your ready to go........

Windows 7 is very stable, I have not noticed any issue since I started using it about 4 months ago. If you were able to use the drive upon upgrade, try system restore to that earlier time.

I installed Windows 7 replacing Vista, and I'm not able to access CD or DVD through the ROM. I remember after installing the current OS, I watched a movie on my laptop, but all of a sudden, I can't find drive E: (which was my DVD drive).
I have done a trouble shoot, run device manager and I seem to have been lost in the maze. Device manager shows the CD ROM but with a yellow tab on the left. Restoring the system to an earlier point, does not help me either.
I installed the same on a PC and it's working well. The DVD and CD are playing very well.

BTW, is Windows 7, having issues as opposed to Vista?
