Use Hirens boot cd, run mini xp, download and run lcp.exe and get ur password. Alternatively, you can reset your password using some tool whose name I don't recall at the moment.
He said "no cd-rom" :-) Must he invest in an external CD-ROM in order to recover? During installation of Windows, there is always a section for creating an Administrator account. What I have found out over time is that some installers leave the password for this account blank! So you could try ctrl+alt+delete and get a login Window. Type Administrator as username with a blank password and see if that saves the day. Else, get a CD-ROM and do as the others have suggested.Worst, you can always pull out the disk, connect it to a Desktop with CD-ROM, get either Hiren's BootCD or UBCD and use the tools therein to recover. Actually, I vaguely recall that Windows XP install CD has a procedure to reset the Administrator password on a disk installed with XP, or was it some Linux CD that had this?
