
I tend to think the CEO is spending too much time on "extracurricular" activities, too much tweeting,too many social functions, the guy is literally all over the place. When does he work to protect our money as shareholders? Their expenses going up by about 4billion in the 1st half though attributed to economic environment could see lots of guys out of work. Profits really are the bottom line. Wallmart, as of 2010 fiscal, had revenues of over 400B. Apple 68B. Same market valuation at the time. HP still has higher revenue than Apple.
The real test for Safaricom will not be maintaining revenue growth but profitability. That's what shot it into the limelight. Funny fact, the company with the highest revenues in Kenya as of end of 2010, is KenolKobil, not Safaricom. We know about Safaricom because of profitability. --
