He was in the news all over in France last year...

Orange, first provided in France, has indeed signed an agreement with Google so that they are getting paid for all YouTube viewing.
Then, following the agreement, the second provider in France, Free, capped the bandwith for YouTube and subsequently half of French population were unable to browse YouTube. French Govt (who has a share in Orange) said that such agreement is totally legit and other providers are free to do the same

It sucks to see Orange is trying to do the same here !!    Basically, these are tactics to kill other players in the market.  It's bad !! Also, we are heading more and more to customized Internet subscription whereby you pay a monthly or yearly subscription for a certain number of website (like 10 USD/month gives you YouTube + Facebook + Gmail; or 5 USD gives you Wikipedia + Facebook + Twitter).  And if you visit a site outside your package you get extra charges... Little by little the ISP is killing the Internet neutrality !

Doesn't look logical to me. It means all service providers will be entitled to the same. What about other online service provides such as yahoo and bling? will they be subjected to the same? Where does the chain end? Looks like orange wants to eat from both sides of the plate.
