I bought their 40" Digital LED TV just last weekend from Nakumatt Garden City. The damage was 39K. I had initially settled for a 32" LG counter-part (going for 30K), but after a lengthy chat and some demos from one of the attendants I opted to give Hisense a try (the attendant was in praise of a 32" set going for 23K).

I haven't had enough time to fiddle with the set yet, but so far, I'm impressed. I doubt if it has the PIP function I used to love in a previous Sony set. For the audiophiles,  I doubt if the sound quality can beat Sony as well, though I find it acceptable. My 2008 Sony set also had a relay switching circuitry, that effectively ruled out potential electrical damage from our beloved KPLC.

There's an irritating deep blue screen background that I will be seeking to change when I get the chance. I'll also ask some better critic to fiddle with it for a second review.

I noticed that packaging also bears the address : http://www.hisense.ug/, possibly an indicator that It's more established in Uganda compared to Kenya. (Please don't check out that link if you abhor dead links and jack-of-all-trade companies).

Tony.
