K24 do have ads and special sponsored topical features (e.g. Women's feature sponsored by Equity Bank). I guess Metro were not making money so they were sold off to Radio Africa.
Radio's make bucketloads of money in ad's. Radio is the primary mode of communication for most who don't have access to the internet... go to any government office, there are radio's allover.
Guys anyone with any clue how these tv stations make money since i'm figuring they have no adverts but broadcasting equipment is very expensive so is the license i guess.
Second thing do you think with fibre coming online radio may catch on in kenya? how does one make money through them?
