Hi All,

We have a mirror service primarily used internally here at Angani but we are leaving it open to the public. Currently only debian i386 and amd64 packages are available at the moment but we also have CentOS and Ubuntu in the pipeline for this week. We are also amenable to hosting other distros so just ask!

To use it, modify your /etc/apt/sources.list to something like this:
<snip>
deb http://mirror.angani.co/debian/ wheezy main
deb http://mirror.angani.co/debian/ wheezy-updates main contrib

deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib
</snip>

The speeds are pretty decent especially from providers who have an open local loop policy :-)

<snip>
$ wget http://mirror.angani.co/debian/pool/main/l/linux/linux-image-3.10-1-486_3.10.3-1_i386.deb

</snip>

We are syncing off the KENET mirror(http://debian.mirror.ac.ke) and if you are not already using them, check them out too.

Angani is a Nairobi based Infrastructure as a Service provider currently in private beta. Find out more at http://angani.co/blog/?p=9

Enjoy!

Any expert in HTML, XML scripting can help you set it up. However USSD
hosting is quite expensive and there is only viable commercially.

 Contact us at http://Whive.org <http://whive.org/> for more details.

Cheers,

John
