Last time I did it I used a software called reset windows password from a kickass torrents, burn the ISO and use it as a startup disk, works like a charm. I'm assuming this machine is not a member of a domain or has no other admin account that you can use to reset the password?

My boss cannot remember his password. Although is his personal laptop which he has not used for a while.
