I think each insurance have their list of preferred mechanics/garages. <br>Haven&#39;t heard of an insurance complaining of costs (If the price too high they will/or should write-off the car!). (or may be this depends on which insurance company). <br>

Just the windscreen will set you back at least 16-24k. If you have<br>
comprehensive insurance, use it and have your wing + door replaced as<br>
well, rather than repaired.<br>
<br>
You lose out on the no-claim discount on your renewal but your car<br>
ends up as good as accident-free.<br>
