Let's be more objective. It will benefit users more if Netflix is talking to regulators. For example, without a CDN or local cache, internet cost will remain high. And that requires local presence, or talking with local partners, and acceptance by the powers that be.
Although some of the pronouncements by KFCB calls for these managers to be taken back to IQ class. For example "The introduction of Netflix in Kenya should be seen in the control of the ongoing War on Terror." surely, Netflix does not have user generated content like say Youtube, which has been used as a tool for radicalisation. KFCB should be more worried of Youtube.
