It is ironical....the parents are the ones calling.
So long as you have a choice there is nothing you can do.
You have a choice in the stations,You have a choice in the mode of transport (you can take a city hopper or boda boda),you have a choice to alight before the mat starts the journey and even alight after the mat starts the journey. If you dont exercise these choices then you have accepted to listen to classic.
The fact of the matter is that most marriages are a sham, morality in Kenya is at its lowest (so I cant buy that moral theory) ...dont kill the messenger...(In fact Kenyans are more tribal than religious) what classic is doing is offering a platform. They dont hold a gun on any one either to call or listen or advertise. Its called freedom of expression.
Today if we stop Classic, tomorrow what will stop somebody from saying
a) Waumini FM is indoctrinating our kids with catholic teachings
b) Or Ghetto FM is making our kids fail in Kiswahili because ina leta brrrrrrcha
c) or Hope FM is only Christian what about the muslim or hindu etc
d) or lets demolish K-street because there is a lot of immorality going on there.
d) or petition women not to wear mini skirts because its "immoral".....we will be sliding back to stone age
For the last 5+ years every morning some one calls in and 20 others follow with a similar problem, what does that tell you?
My advice wake up and smell the coffee its a new world order.....and I can bet my entire earthly belongings that Classic is here to stay and most of the people complaining are listeners as well in the morning.
What about their accomplices, Matatu drivers. I am sure they can tune in to other music, like some Embassava matatu, KAT, that I once boarded, He played Worship CDs , stopped patiently at traffic lights ....
