Apparently went to OLX and run a search and luthuli shop ads came up, the prices looked friendly and much less than the least I ad seen on jumia so I decided to clear the air, sent message to Jumia on facebook, they ask me to call, I did then they confirmed no physical shop they only sale online and deliver goods on 4-5 business days, and hey dont worry once you break the seal and the product is not what you liked bring it to our office...[end of conversation]  in my head 'break the seal and u don like it! bring it to our office...' I know where that will end -arbitrary cases and office hide and seek games.... not ready (Typical kenyan mind.. please  clap for my ignorance) So I run my eyes on OLX ads again ahhaaa pick 2 at random and make a call: " LED 32" plah plah ....... yes we got ...is it brand new.... yes from the box you come and see.... How much ... 27500.... Aha ok {suspicious as usual}. Second call: .... we got yeah at 28000 lakini kuna kuongea.... ok will come. Now that someone has even said it in this forum. Ouh yes the beauty of being a skunk if friends with benefit are found here.... am headed there to just window shop and then make a final landing.... u find anything better noting not only money but technical details don let a brother miss a feature to make his young growing skunkboy watch a cartoon and play a game. Cheers Good guys and thanks for the insight

I owned a 5 series Samsung LED TV and replaced it with a

the samsung was slimer and the picture quality not different.

The LG has a better interface but the market segment might
be different. However, I find LG to lack the sleek looks Sony
and Samsung have but in terms of features its an equal.

@Adam, depends on the price range of the item. For lower priced items like car radios (which is what I was shopping for), there is a range of 3-5k difference

The chaps at Luthuli Ave seem to have genuine products and their prices are much lower

I even saw some products with Sony warranty covered by Anisuma.

Actually, as a current Samsung owner but former Sony owner, I can back Philip.  The Sony quality as of a few years ago was great.

The Samsung will do me well until the Apple TV (actual TV, not the box) comes out :-)

I tend to prefer Sony to Samsung, and the newer LED series, the W55 and W70 and really great. Sony tends to have depth in their pictures, plus they look more brilliant.

In terms of durability, Sony is a clear winner. I have a 40" LCD I got back in 2008, when they were like really very expensive and it is still going strong and not even thinking of replacing it.

Samsung has a cheap feel to it, but I guess that is my opinion. On the brighter side, the Samsung will tend to be cheaper.

Samsung is cheaper first of all.

I bought a Samsung LED recently and my only complaints are:

1. You can't "turn off" the TV mode.  I only watch stuff from AppleTV and USB drive so I wish I could disable the tuner so it doesn't show up as a source.
2. Virtually all file formats work from the USB drive, but not always.  That's probably an issue with any TV I suppose.

This is clearly tiny stuff so anyway, I would definitely recommend the Samsung (I have the 26" LED that I bought from Nakumatt) - but the Sony and LG are fine options too.

I do miss my old Sony Bravia from a few years ago though - it had great sound which is really a critical part of a TV if you don't have a dedicated audio setup.

Hello good people,
I am wondering between the two products mentioned above...  Is there any of them that has a feature that matters I.e set it a part from the other  ?
They both have the same features on paper but why go for one and not the other.
Thanks for the feedback.
