I have noticed the main reason why the courts are always accused of dismissing cases for lack of evidence. The police do not do shoddy investigation, they just don't do anything. I have seen a case where the police have been called to a scene of a shop breaking and the owners were very careful not to touch anything in case they jeopardize the investigation. When the police finally came, they asked the shop owner if he has any suspects and then left the scene promising to look for the stolen merchandise. They did not even try dusting the scene. The case above was reported, and the only response from police is, " Kwani you dont know that place is dangerous...?"
Matter was closed like that.
Writing statements in that OB book is like adding a greeting in a huge Christmas card (populated by several others of your relatives ) for your grandfather, who actually never reads them..
