I ask because the feature set looks impressive, but bsd is an entirely new world to me. Maybe i should have asked. Is there a linux alternative to pfsense that is as featured ?
Don't fret at it. For your case, the major difference would be in the interface naming. While Linux uses eth0...N, FreeBSD would use some name close to the device itself, like xl0..N for some 3Com cards, bge0...N for Broadcom, fxp0..N for Intel cards, etc. The rest should not be difficult to figure out. Of course the FreeBSD folks are here to answer some of your questions:-) -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "If you have nothing good to say about someone, just shut up!." -- Lucky Dube
