Hello skunks,
I have a small office with 512/512 Kbps dedicated. Number of users is 6 (not heavy users but send quiet a number of mails per day)
Is this bandwidth sufficient to occasionally send files between 5-10MB's? I noted that sending more than 5MB makes outlook on some, especially older computers enter "hung mode" Do I need to have the bandwidth increased? The client is kind of cost conscious.
Kindly advice,
Jeff
I already feel your client is being stingy on spending. Here is my advise: If the mail server is not within the office, then run one within. MDaemon has a free version for 6 users. Let Outlook send the mail to the MDaemon instead of outbound. Let MDaemon struggle with the sending. However, as Adam seems to want to suggest, convince the client that they can do better - good bandwidth, good computers (also make work take less time to complete). -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 "I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler."
