Ports n protcols are not the issue, having once configured an outlook account, and wanting to add a new mail account to the existing one, there lies a system issue to authenticate the new mail. I agree with Peter Mugoh. Check to see if there's a hidden dialog box asking you to authenticate a certificate from the mail server. Also be sure to tick 'remember password' after you enter it.
