Why are we listening to rumours when my colleague Eric and I were in a room interviewing Mark Zuckerberg and captured everything that Mark and his colleague  told in these two articles? We did the actual interview, and that was the only time he spoke to media in Kenya. Yes, he wanted to understand how mobile money works for emerging markets.

The closest that can come out of this is an integration with a mobile money player, and it doesn't have to be Mpesa, most probably won't.

This wasn't supposed to start in Kenya, but somewhere in UK and US.  (i.e where IBM & Vodafone meet.) and ends up in Kenya.  May be it's a deal done, and the Facebook boss was in Kenya to prepare Kenyans psychologically for the news.
