With all due respect Safaricom employs many people - over 500 i think.

While we may agree or not agree with their selection methods, the fact remains that they as an organisation are the employers and are in charge of the selection process..

I have many friends at Safaricom, who got jobs, as a result of adverts in the papers and their websites, and many of them did not know anybody at Safaricom previously.

All in all, when you are a successful company, people will hit you from all sides, even from a HR perspective.

True, Safaricom may need to put their act together to ensure that their selection process is more transparent. Let us engage in meaningful discussions, and encourage others, rather than discourage people from applying for positions at Safaricom.
