Many countries give a sort of Grace period like 2 weeks for you to use the lisence from your country
However if you get an AA international drivers license then it saves you the trouble of having to get one in the other country coz its a process that can kill you
For east africa (Kenya UG and TZ , not sure about rwanda and burundi) your kenyan DL is valid. If you look at the cover it says EA Kenya so you dont need another one
