PS. Fail to understand why I can't start a new thread on this mailing list... I can reply to discussion but can't start new thread :( ********************************* Subject - Anyone has tried Orange EVDO ?? As said priorly, tired of slow AK connection and lack of new products... so I want to change provider Decided to forget Zuku due to poor customer service despite cheap price ! I know Safaricom has also something similar but there is deposit of 3500 kshs + router at 6500 kshs and it is not cheap (6999 kshs per month) - http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:twG71Ag_pcQJ:www.safaricom.co.ke/f... So I want to try the Orange Internet Broadband, the one with D-Link router + EVDO Internet Modem + 10 GB monthly (if exceed, 0.46 kshs/MB) at 5 290 kshs per month - http://orange.co.ke/complex/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=188... Now, anyone using it ?? How is the D-Link router ?? What's the speed during and outside peak hours + location ? Thanks a lot ! On 19 September 2011 09:45, Edwin Kaduki <kaduki@edwinkaduki.com> wrote:
Actually I also have Zuku at home. The service is good when it's up. When it goes down, the infuriating IVR kicks in, and unfortunately as much as I would like to recommend it to my boss, unfortunately I have to stick with AK. When AK is down, at least you can reach them! Nothing worse than lack of communication.

Seems like the ranting works after all....perhaps. Got my phone finally and it works! Hope this lasts. Thanks Patrick, but it's sad that your clients have to resort to such means to get your company's attention. We do understand that downtimes are inevitable but clueless support guys and extremely long MTTR's does not help your course at all.

Nick/Brian,
Your feedback on our service level is hereby acknowledged for action. 72 hours of no service is unacceptable and i'm following up to find out why this has taken that long.
Regarding the phone, a field team will deliver the handset for you case NickĀ amongestĀ others and for Brian's case they'll will be checking why the phone has not been working later in the day. Our voice offer is amazing with On Net Calls and Off Net Calls.
Yeah down for me too -- since friday night. My phone story is the same -- no phone yet.
I actually got through the support line -- but was told on both occassions "there is a problem which is being rectified". _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke
