Wasn't talking of online dating sites, I meant an infidelity site, where married guys/gals try to get a little on the side and the site helps them cover it up. Would such a site take off in Kenya, or "real" Africa (excludes SA etc)?Regards,John K.On 2 September 2015 at 13:26, Jangita <jangita.nyagudi@gmail.com> wrote:Unless it is a "meet someone" site. I know a certain someone who I co - coded a site for who got around 8000 members in about 6 months each paying Ksh 200 for a month's premium membership. Had around 35% of members premium at any one time... Do the math. Then sold it to Cupid Media and became kenyancupid.com one of the many big deals never heard or spoken ofᐧOn 2 September 2015 at 11:51, John K. via skunkworks <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:_______________________________________________I guess in many African settings, society kind of condones "a little on the side" for men, just not openly in front of your spouse/family etc. If you want to do it openly then you make it official that she's a 2nd or 3rd.. wife. This I suspect means an infidelity site here wouldn't work, or it would have to earn its money from ads. I don't see old men from Nairobi West paying a website for that kind of action. The "interested" parties, were men who had spent more money on the site, so basically if you spent little $$ then you got the short end of the stick. Though considering how few women (compared to men) used the site, I'm not shocked they wrote bots.Regards,John K.On 2 September 2015 at 09:44, George Irungu <g.irungu@logicalcrest.co.ke> wrote:Looks like interested parties were passed on to an actual person. Pretty much an end justifies the means operation running here. Site users must also have been satisfied otherwise it wouldn’t have been such a hit. Meanwhile what is happening in Africa? Besides SA our map is clean.

Apparently most of the men on AM (Ashley Madison), were conversing with bots. Bots created to get them to spend more money on the site.
Wonder how legal all this is? Does paying for their services guarantee you'll talk to a real person or... could they switch a person out with code.
