I think we are expecting too much and paying too little for it. Look at the Internet charges and associated speed on most developed countries. Unless you are willing to pay more for unlimited Internet its not possible for ISPs and Telcos to offer it. Looking at the cost of setting up 3G/4G networks and the limited radio resource its just hard to sustain the kind of data rates at the current prices.
