Does the Vista start OK?
I know that Ubuntu 8.0.4 can be installed in an empty partition in Windows. Is that how you installed or did you install the old fashion way i.e. booting from the installation CD and running the installation?
Also, are you sure the installation completed successfully?

Hey. Am trying to dual boot vista-pre installed- with ubuntu 8.10 on a Toshiba Satellite L305D AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00ghz. 32 bit os. The installation starts fine but it shows a series of I/O errors the it ends with a small 'X' in the centre of the screen. Wats up? Another thing, I didnt get a recovery cd with purchase and the thing doesnt have recovery disc creator. Can I get it from somewhere? _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks Other services @ http://my.co.ke
