Boss,
When you buy with a voucher you need to spend the whole of it i.e. they don't give change on vouchers. I thought that has been the case. This is because the voucher value has been paid for.
What is the issue????

Now in this era and from experience from Nakumatt & possibly Uchumi...they give out credit reciepts with which you are given 15-30 days to spend it.....(bright idea) this keeps you coming back.......

Comments please....coz as for me they just lost a customer after that incident ......I don't know any laws regulating such transactions based on vouchers, but if I were the branch manager, in the absence of an automated system to track voucher transactions, I'd endorse the voucher with the amount she'd spent and let her carry away the voucher on one condition: That she accepts to only use it to shop at this same branch.I do agree with you that the Tuskys ICT team should style up. They can implement a system that tracks the transactions from a distributed DB.
