It's like asking, who will be your presidential candidate in 2017. Example "Uhuru Kenyatta". A good number of respondents don't know any other candidate than which you have provided.
That is my hypothesis.

Summary: More people use Shell Helix 15W40 than 5W40, BUT, those who are using 5W40 are consistently getting better fuel economy.
