I think you should not do this yourself. Use the experts to do it for you - and learn from them by asking why they have decided to do it a particular way.
That way, they help you address several issues in the process - issues that affect you and other WiFi users in the vicinity.
Ubiquiti (www.ubnt.com) makes very good equipment, but you must understand under what situations they are best used.

Some of those experts are/have/will read your post.
