The kind of theft going on in the exchanges is alarming and needs to be seriously addressed, will affect the use of bitcoins much!

I also had the unfortunate thing of losing just leas than 4BTC when I lost my laptop and had not synched those specific wallets to the cloud. I used to have several wallets some existing on the could and some on my hard disk without physically noting down the wallets on my harddisk. Lesson was learnt and also took away my drive for bitcoins though :-(
