And mark you, I did not use my Airtel line with UnlimiNet because you said it is subject to FUP. So Orange wins. Orange postpaid data bundles are comparatively cheaper as well... Hi Job,
Thanks for that. I have Airtel Postpaid line too (I don't buy bundles) and having used it before, I still feel Orange is faster.
I think now I should do some speedtests.
1. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4244913677 (Using Orange data bundle) 2. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4244923447 (Using Airtel Postpaid - pay-as-you-go)
I am still happy with Orange speeds...

Hi Wash,
I think comparing Airtel's unliminet and Orange bundle is wrong. The unliminet package has some fair usage policy which slows data. Get a data bundle from Airtel and compare with The Orange one.

So I decided to run some tests on the above. I bought Orange 1GB bundle at 750/= and also subscribed to Airtels UnLimiNet with 1K which gives me 2GB.
Been running tests and perception tells me Orange seems faster than Airtel.
I have tested from two locations and it seems that whatever I do loads faster on Orange than on Airtel.
However, when I try to get to anything on Safaricom and other local providers from these two, then it's another story - and here I thought that they all should be having big pipes at KIXP. Anyway, ignore this whole line.
For those of you who have used these two, would you recommend Orange or Airtel???
Going by what I can remember being discussed on this list, methinks Orange has it when it comes to speeds, right??
The only advantage I am seeing on UnlimiNet is the voice/sms bundles that come with it.
