@ Wash, 80K? I'll seal my lip, on this one. But the rationale could be that there are some places where the rates (consumption per unit) charged are higher. For instance, my friend tells me when he was staying at South B, the units he was charged were much higher, than what he's paying at his current location in Ruaka.
From this, if at all that's the case, Wilson Airport area is a high unit area than say, Kibera (which is next door). But still, the logic does not make sense. I thought with pre-pay, the consumption should have dropped instead of rising. Unfortunately, KPLC will always keep you guessing.

In our office,our monthly electricity bill with the postpaid was always an average KES 50,000 (BTW, I need the services of an electrical contractor to come and tell me where all this power is going. So if you know someone, refer them to me).
Recently, KPLC came and installed prepaid meters at Wilson Airport. Since then, our consumption has risen to an average or KES 20,000 per week!
So, tell me - if we've paid 50k (avg) monthly all these years, how comes now we're averaging 80k monthly?
