here is another one, can ethernet over power lines go past my electric meter to my neighbours then down the street? or will a transformer mess things up as there is no direct connection (primary and secondary windings kind of stuff)
additionally, what throughputs would one expect with such a venture? 10? 100? 1000Mbps?
maybe that might work for you @david. just hook up at your place and then hook up at your neighbours and youre good to go.
