My overall take, techies are a misused lot. they have to draw their own lines otherwise some client will tell you to fix their tv - si wewe ni fundi?
Bonz
Wazi Bonz, I remember back in the day, delphi programming; I hadn't been in the company too long so I was coding units to be included in the bigger applications. The funny part Me and the tech team used to 1. Jump start the other staff members cars when they refuse to start 2. Figure out why the cars can't start (eg automatic on D wont start) 3. Start the generator when the lights went off (power rationing days) 3a. Troubleshoot the generator! (even if the suppliers were supposed to do that we were supposed to watch and see if they are doing the correct thing) 4. Pull cables both power and network all around the office 5. Fix people's mobile phones when they had problems (including loading recharge numbers) 6. Very funny: the boss wanted a tractor towed from his house to his farm, guess who he asked .. and we were just simple pascal coders .. -- Jangita | +256 76 91 8383 | Y! & MSN: jangita@yahoo.com Skype: jangita | GTalk: jangita.nyagudi@gmail.com
