From the description of the task it sounds like ethical, white hat stuff - but I'm only the messenger so that would definitely need to be validated.

I guess the fact that contracts/agreements are involved means that there's a higher chance of things being above board.

What I wonder though is, if one has not been able to penetrate the systems within the 12 hours - will there be any compensation in lieu of the award money?
