@Okechukwu, but on the other hand it can take decades before the government builds a road to your plot. What you guys forget is after you pay Kenya power money to bring electricity to your plot, ownership of the power cables and electric posts becomes yours and you are free to charge any new person who wishes to get connected via your line.
This is an interesting discussion, since we don't directly pay the
Ministry of Roads to build any roads to our plots. I was told about
Mauritius where the government constructs roads, sewer lines, electric
poles and any other utilities on land in towns and municipalities
during the time when the surveyor sub-divides the land. This is really
the way it should be.
